Community Health Network and Lifepoint Rehabilitation Celebrate Opening of New Rehabilitation Hospital in Indianapolis
May 17, 2023
INDIANAPOLIS, In. and BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – May 17, 2023 – Community Health Network and Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, are celebrating the opening of Community Rehabilitation Hospital West, a 50,000-square-foot inpatient rehabilitation hospital located on the west side of Indianapolis.
With 40 beds, the new facility is the third inpatient rehabilitation facility operated by the joint venture partners in the greater Indianapolis area, joining Community Rehabilitation Hospital North (located in northeast Indianapolis) and Community Rehabilitation Hospital South (located in Greenwood, a suburb of Indianapolis). This new facility helps to address the growing need for inpatient rehabilitation services throughout the region.
“This partnership and this new hospital illustrate our commitment to enhancing health and well-being in the communities we serve,” said Jason Fahrlander, Chief Operating Officer for Community Health Network. “We are thrilled that the same life-changing, patient-focused rehabilitation services we offer at our north and south hospitals will now be convenient and accessible to patients who live west of Indianapolis.”
Community Rehabilitation Hospital West will focus on acute rehabilitation and recovery for patients who suffer from stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, multiple traumas, amputation and other injuries or disorders. The facility includes all private rooms, a secured brain injury unit with private dining and therapy gym, a therapeutic exterior courtyard outfitted with activities and equipment to promote ambulation, large interdisciplinary therapy gyms and a transitional living apartment designed to support patients in preparing for activities of daily living.
“We are honored to once again partner with Community Health Network as we welcome patients to Community Rehabilitation Hospital West, a leading-edge inpatient rehabilitation facility for patients in western Indianapolis,” said Russ Bailey, President of Lifepoint Rehabilitation. “We know that Community Rehabilitation Hospital West will further integrate a network of rehabilitation care throughout the region, expanding access to specialized care and treatment for patients who have experienced a loss of function due to injury or illness. Ultimately, our goal is to ensure our patients return home to their families and resume their normal daily activities more quickly. We look forward to continuing this important work alongside Community Health Network as we advance our mission of making communities healthier.”
Community Rehabilitation Hospital West is now accepting patients at 8920 E 56th Street in Brownsburg. For more information, please visit www.communityrehabhospital.com.
